I don't believe you'll have to purchase vt3k separately. On HP-UX 9.x
it was installed by default(?) whereas on HP-UX 10.x it was moved to
some different fileset and had to be explicitly selected for installing,
if I recall correctly.

As of HP-UX 11.x the vt3k might no longer be there, but if HP is unable
to provide forward (backward?) compatibility in Unix then there might
still be 3rd parties doing a better job ;-) Didn't www.slcorp.com offer
some NS/VT package and/or HP block mode termulator for various flavours
of "the" Unix?

Lars (and, of course, freevt3k is always a good choice to consider)
