I'll amend my previous dissertation then... Preserving MIME headers is one
of the "attributes" that can be set per recipient on the listserv. If your
listserv profile was reset, it's entirely possible that the preserve-MIME
header setting got turned off, and any quoted-printable encoded message
sent to the list would come to you stripped of those headers, thus leaving
all those pretty =nn sequences visible.

(Still, non-MIME compatible clients replying to MIME-QP messages will do
the same thing, irrsepective of your listserv profile)
