largely decentralized. Individual departments or units are responsible
for interviewing and selecting their respective staffs. The University's
central employment offices are responsible for the initial screening of
all applicants, the recording of required demographic information and the
notification of applicants about the ultimate disposition of their
candidacy selection or non-selection. The department or unit will
directly contact those candidates to be interviewed. The amount of time
necessary to fill a position vacancy varies according to the complexity
of the position and the specific needs of the area. It may be several
weeks or more before you are either called for an interview by the
department or notified of the final disposition of your application by an
employment office.

THE OHIO STATE UNIVERSITY IS AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY/AFFIRMATIVE ACTION
