Following the normal procedures, you can jump from PP4 to PP6 without PP5.

Subject: Jumping From PP4 to PP6

Thanks to the information that I've been reading in lurk mode, I held off on
installing PP5. Now I understand that PP6 is available and should correct the
problems that came pre-installed on PP5.
Is it possible to jump directly from PP4 to 6 or do I first have to load the
"bad" PP then load pp6?
Thanks much in advance!!
