In the dark recesses of my mind I can't remember where I saw them, I thought
that the
product involved was Vb View from Bradmark, but I am not certain and Jerry
will correct
me.

Jazz has a reference to an HP white paper which introduces several
'Gui-fication' products as
well as some good references to the terms and technology:

http://jazz.external.hp.com/papers/index.html

The paper is titled:

GUIs for the e3000
