Looks like somewhere on this planet, I haven't heard the Moon or
Mars mentioned -- yet.

I'm reasonably sure I can get us a group rate from Lockheed Martin
Astronautics on an Atlas Centaur rocket or possibly a Titan IV if
the group is large enough. This kind of makes it "the sky is the
limit". However if the decision is to remain earthbound the we
could get there *really* quick.

However for me personally I think the trip may be out. I spoke with
Sydney, our travel accounts manager, and he informed me that
due to changes in corporate poicy the only place they wil still pay
a per diem is in the city of Maiduguri in the country of Cameroon.
Now I have nothing against Maidugurians but I understand one
of the local delicacies is monkey kidney pate. This apparently
has upset the local monkey coalition and it appears there may
soon be open conflict. Also I hate talking to Sydney, he's always
munching on those cookies of his.

So the upshot of the whole thing is that I will speak to Sydney the
chairman of the SIGF21 committe and see if we can get something
at least penciled in.

Jim "lemur" Trudeau
