Grace Hopper was a great asset to both her country and the field of computer
science. Glen's posting reminded me how lucky we are to be living in a time
where we can actually see history in the making. I was lucky enough to have
dinner with Captain(at that time before Admiral) Hopper in 77. It was a kick
and she was great - full of ideas about these new-fangled PCs and all the
opportunity they were creating(this in about 77 or 78). Best part was her
smoking Camels (without the filters) almost constantly it seemed.
