I was the person that took the microphone for HP at the IPROF
Management Roundtable and suggested that Denny call Denkart There is a
product sold by Denkart called IMAGE/UX which is exactly what Denny
asked for. It is an IMAGE/1000 compatible product that runs on HP-UX.
I know this because my engineers developed an initial version of this
product and I worked on the agreement with Denkart. They have sold it
to a number of customers over the past four years! (I am not aware of
exactly how many).

I'll confess, I was baffled when someone told Denny that Denkart could
not sell the IMAGE/UX product since that statement is not true. In
retrospect, I wish I had just reinterated what I said above and ask for
Denny to come talk to me about it afterwords.

I am not aware of any TurboIMAGE compatible DBMS products available on
HP-UX from Denkart or anyone else. We are seriously evaluated the
customer benefit of having such a product. It would be a real challenge
to produce a product on HP-UX with the same performance and reliability
of TurboIMAGE. This task is getting somewhat more feasible as HP-UX
adds more HP3000 like capabilities (e.g. Journal File System).
