Hello Friends:

Denys has graciously organized a way for all of us to see each other and
meet face to face. For that we are grateful to him. Jim Sartain of CSY told
me that there's actually been a study done that correlates such personal
meetings with better correspondence over e-mail in the months after the
meeting. Besides, it's fun.

>If your name is on the list, please be on time at 12:00 on that day. At
>12:07 if you are not there, your seat will be available for someone on
>"stand-by" status.

May I point out a problem about this schedule, and giving away seats at
12:07? There are sessions now scheduled to run through 12:30 on lunch day.
One of the sessions is CSY's official update on what's in MPE/iX 6.0.

MPE/iX 6.0 and the Future of MPE/iX
Session 5186
Kriss J. Rant
Software Product Manager
Hewlett-Packard Co.

"The purpose of this session is to give customers an overview of the new
features planned for MPE/iX 6.0 and beyond to assist them in planning their
future IT strategies.

What attendees will learn:

1.About our strategies and solution planning process
    2.About new features planned for MPE/iX 6.0
    3.About post-MPE/iX 6.0 release plans"

As there will be a few of the 80 who want to hear about the next mainline
release of their OS, perhaps giving away their seats while they hear about
6.0 might seem less than gracious.

Personally, I think the photos ought to be taken around 12:45, to give
everybody a chance to get some food and talk a bit. We'll be glad to take
the pictures with our digital camera.

Any comments?
