I havent been able to find a fix for the MPE/iX version of LZW externally ,
and so I have created a patch to fix the problem described below.
If anyone else needs this fix, please just let me know.

Hi all,
I am having a problem with LZW, and was wondering if anyone out there
has any sort of a workaround or a version of LZW which works better.
The problem is that when LZW tries to create the target file for the
extraction,
it is using the EOF value for the DISC= parameter, which is fine for
fixed-length record files, but fails dismally for variable-length files
where the eof is a large value.
