We have two HP 3000 and a NetWare-Server on the same LAN and we
haven't any problems with this coexistence.

Do you want your PCs to connect to the HP 3000 over the LAN ? If so:
- Make sure that you have ThinLAN-Link/iX which is included in
  MPE/iX 5.0 but had to be ordered separtly before
- The "HP3000/iX Network planning and configuration guide" tells you
  everything you need
