You might look at the following page to get started...

It has a small JdbcProgram.java that reads the Music DBE that
you might already know from ODBC (run imsql.sampledb.sys to
unpack a copy in your logon group).

With a little cut & paste, it should be possible to extend
this to open two database connections, read from one and write
to the other. Of course, you need to find a way to decide which
data should be considered for the transfer (timestamps?)

Try LISTF @.JDBC.SYS to see if you have the free HP JDBC driver
already installed. If not, check out ITRC for the latest JDBC
driver patches (named JDBxxyyz or similar). You might even be
able to manually unpack the server program and client classes
that those patches bring (if there is none for 6.0)
