As ever, what Keven said.

Plus, though, if you have C:\Program Files and C:\Program Files (x86) on
your machine, then it's 64-bit Win 7.

Perhaps the other Win 7s you installed on were 32-bit ones, so you did not
have this issue?

As for the speculation about it being designed on/for WinXP, then if it ran
OK on other Win 7s, I guess Wirt knew about Vista, (which was launched just
over 2 years before his sad demise) and he ensured the permissions were set
correctly for QCTerm to run in a Program Files folder - you can put even
data in there if you get those right, though if you don't, you are in a
world of hurt (or rather Virt)store.

I might be quite tempted to install in C;\Program Files and then reinstall
in C:\Program Files (x86), so it largely runs from the latter, but if there
is something it thinks it should find in the other folder, it is there to
fulfil that requirement.
