I do think that we missed a major opportunity for a twofer of threefer. By
running an ad to coincide with HP World and the SuperDome announcement,
while the press was paying attention, they just might have noticed and asked
about the HP 3000. Then HP really would have had to change, to put up or
shut up. I think that HP both placated (by their talk at HP World) and
isolated us (by announcing SuperDome elsewhere).

Can we only hope for what we and CSY can accomplish apart from official HP
support?

Subject: Re: Carly Fiorina speak again...

Since I didn't get to go to Philadelphia and experience it first hand I'll
give my impression of what's happened.

Most likely the correspondence on this list about an ad in the WSJ was
summarized by someone and presented to Carly and Ann and their speech
writers. We got their attention. They responded to it with their
presentations to HP World the way they thought would be appropriate enough
to soothe us. They went back to work with business as usual and have
absolutely no intention of changing their grand plan. I doubt that an ad in
the WSJ at this point would have any effect whatsoever on upper level HP
management.

Just my $0.02
