For those eagerly anticipating a shiny new PC with bleeding edge "Rambus"
memory, you may need to wait a bit. This (likely) includes HP Kayak
XM600 and XU800 models, announced just a few days ago (though available
with either SDRAM or RAMBUS).
News.com reports:
Intel has acknowledged a major problem involving
Rambus memory technology that could delay for months
computers that were scheduled to debut Monday,
sources say.
...

...
According to sources, Intel has notified
manufacturers that the third slot is a
problem, even if it's empty.

P.S. I wonder if c|net is selling the news.com domain name.
"News.com" still goes to the "right" place, but
the links all point to "news.cnet.com".
