In and among the talk about moving from 5.0 to 5.5 and various
patches, I would like to know if there are any gotchas in the upgrade
from 4.0 to 5.5.

I have studied the new upgrade documents and have all the upgrade
tapes for 4.0 -> 5.5 as well as all the powerpatch tapes for 5.5 right
through to PP4.

The box itself is a 927LX from 1991 with the DDS drive replaced by HP
in 1997. Would this tape drive be likely to work OK? There was a
warning in the upgrade documents about ensuring the firmware was past
a certain revision, but when I do a SYSDIAG,SCSIDDS it shows a
different format of results than that shown in the upgrade manual.

Does anyone know why this might be?

Thanks in advance, Michael Comiskey
