my 'classic' memory must be fragmenting. I was sure I use to do a listf -3,
as Manager.Sys, on the ole classic mpe/v boxes.
I guess I better re-seat by memory chips :)

As far as I recall, DBUTIL should not have a password.
It may have a lockword, which was probably assigned
to keep dangerous users out of the utility.
Although Dr. Nagy does bring up a piece of Trivia,
how does one look up a lockword on a Classic
system? I thought it was LISTF,-2 where you got
to see the file headers.
-------------------------------------------------------------
The question was "how do you see the lockword on a classic system". Can't
use :LISTF -3, it doesn't exist. You must use :RUN LISTDIR5.PUB.SYS or
LISTDIR2 for pre MPE/V systems and do a LISTF filename;PASS
