Wirt Atmar quotes Clarke's Law:
>"Any technology [sufficiently] advanced will appear as if it
>were magic."
After watching my 11-year-old son discuss the new crop of game consoles
with his friends (we've banished games from our house), I'm beginning to
think that the converse is also true: any technology distinguishable from
magic is insufficiently advanced.

PS. Wirt's post warrants much more of a discussion than I'm giving it,
but I'm up to my eyebrows in bitmaps at the moment (to the point that I'm
beginning to want to hug a Teletype), so I'll leave that to others.
