This board takes 72 pin RAM modules while my HP3000 uses
much larger modules that seem to be HP proprietary.

I know that I can't run mpe on a HP9000. That's the point.
You can run Unix on HP9000. However, it looks like it's not
worth spending money on such an upgrade.
