I recently removed a HP2300 printer from a 987/200 box with a HP-IB connection.  I got a dual card in the printer.  I obtained a jet direct card.  Configured the IP address and plugged the printer into the network.

NPCONFIG looks like this:

 6  (network_address = 192.168.1.233
     program_file = OUTSPTJ.PUB.SYS
     setup_file = PCLLP.HPENV.SYS)
 
 LP (network_address = 192.168.1.233
     program_file = OUTSPTJ.PUB.SYS
     setup_file = PCLLP.HPENV.SYS)
 

I configured the Jet direct card to be CENTRONICS,  I did not know about the other parameters.

Now the operator says when she takes the printer offline she cannot restart the print unless she turn the machine off and on.

Any Suggestions would be appreciated.
