<snippage>

i've been complaining -- with no success -- to hp about this for months! since
there's *clearly* no problems with the ftp software <sigh> they want me to pay
to have an hp network engineer tune my 995's network configuration (which i've
actually agreed to and haven't heard from them in over a week now <sigh>).

stephen didn't clearly say -- but i'm wondering if his nt boxes are on a
different network segment or even out on the internet. when i try to ftp data
to an nt server -- over the internet -- it's so bad that we've actually given up
and just express ship a tape to our trading partner! this is not acceptable,
imo. - d 'no more coffee today'
