     I would like to dynamically send the control information necessary to
switch
my 256x printers from COMPRESSED to NON-COMPRESSED and back again
depending on the particular spool file I'm sending. They're connected to
the system via HP-IB, so TT-Util is out. I don't want to have to re-write
all of my report programs to include the escape sequence if necessary (too
much work).
