I guess Brian and I have different definitions of "hate mail." It seems
Brian defines it as anything expressing an opinion disagreeing with his
own opinions. For example, I agree with Brian that Reflection is the
most robust HP terminal emulator, but the fact that there are others who
disagree with that opinion doesn't bother me in the least. Depending on
how you use the product, the Minisoft emulator might be ideal for your
purposes.
I fail to see how pointing out that sharing copies of licensed software
is illegal constitutes "hate mail." I do regard things like calling
those who disagree with you idiots, morons and psychos as definitely
falling into that category, however.

Without help from these people my tasks would have taken much longer to
complete. They may have even been unsolvable without your assistance.
In the past, I have innocently invoked a stream of hate mail regarding
other ON TOPIC issues I posted. Once upon a time, I posted something
about
Reflection and how I considered (and still do) it to be a superior
product
to Minisoft. Jeez, in no time at all I had an inbox full of hate mails
from
these guys at the Minisoft company. The most recent one was last week.
Some
posting was discussing Minisoft (Ctrl-X topic). I posted that
from my experience I found WRQ's Reflection a much better, sturdier
product. That was enough to invoke the usual amount of Minisoft created
hate mails. This guy (I'll omit his name) started his anti-WRQ speech
about
how WRQ doesn't support the 3000 bla bla bla, and how Minisoft have
wonderful customer support...
In my book, a quality product doesn't need customer support. I
purchased,
YES, I actually purchased my copy of Reflection 8.0 way back in 1999 and
it
has given me everything I need without any problems. I have never needed
to
call WRQ for "customer support" at all. That's the way it should be.
So, that's it for me until I have another *technical* question for the
gang.
