Can "sendmail" be incorporated into inetd, or MUST it run as a seperate job?
For better or worse, I've set my sendmail.cf file to "deliverymode=queue" so
that individual jobs that create "stuff" to be e-mailed won't hang when
sending messages, but this requires that a "sendmail" process reside
somewhere in the background OR a cron/scheduled job every 5 minutes to do a
"sendmail -q". I'd rather not tie up my job limit with this if I don't have
to...

p.s. Although only semi-supported, I was able to create a VESOFT "backg
task" to run sendmail in the background. Part of the "problem" with this
solution is the need to do a chlogon within the job to change from
MANAGER.VESOFT to SERVER.SENDMAIL; although I suppose I could re-write the
sendmail.cf to "run as" MANAGER.VESOFT...
