Discovered the problem -- idiot programmer (ME!)

I tried to change the current form name and next form name thus:

 FORMSPEC/V B.06.08 Form Menu                        FORMS FILE:
CHATROOM.FORMS


        Form Name  [CHATROOM_0001  ]

    Repeat Option  [N]
                    N--No repeat
                    A--Repeat, appending
                    R--Repeat, overlaying

        Next Form  [C]                           Name [CHATROOM_0001  ]
                    C--Clear before Next Form
                    A--Append Next Form
                    F--Freeze, then append Next Form

Function Key Label [X]
                    Y--Define form level function key labels

  Reproduced from  [               ] (opt)

         Comments  [MAIN CHAT ROOM SCREEN                             ]

       Field Type  [ ]             Data Type  [    ]


That is what caused the program abort.

Got around the problem by (C)opying the original form into a new form name,
making the necessary form changes, then deleting the original form and
renaming the new as the old.

Works fine now with no Formspec abort.
