There ARE holes in the beautiful HP Way, first of which is that (even
generally speaking) Nobody Gets Fired. I'm certainly no HP expert, but in
my brief 20-year or so contact with them I've seen plenty of examples of
pipple who were pushed into positions created to get them out of the way of
pipple doing real work. And in their new positions, these VP in charge of
sitting by the door folks have to do something, so we then saw lots of the
world's favorite do-nothing but make-lots-of-noise about it projects:
product name changes, new logos, no reasons.

Tracy just my perceptions, no factual backup will be supplied Pierce
