Hi,

As some people on HP3000-L / comp.sys.hp.mpe know, the HP ITRC has
a "forums" section. The ITRC forums have an HP 3000 section.

I won't go on (too much of) a rant about how truly bad the forums
are (or the rest of the ITRC software/machines :), but I've been
asking myself: why do a small number of people use the ITRC MPE forums
when HP3000-L / comp.sys.hp.mpe is available?

I can only conjecture: ignorance.

So...my proposal. I suggest that those of us who do post answers
at ITRC MPE forums preface answers with:

Questions like this are *best* asked on the newsgroup
comp.sys.hp.mpe, which is identical to the mailing list HP3000-L.
   HP3000-L information is at http://raven.utc.edu/archives/hp3000-l.html

and then go on to answer the question.

What do you think?

thanks,
