A Model 44 years? :-)
Of which I have been around HP3000s for 37 of them, starting with a
Series III and the UK's first MM3000 installation, and I am still
working on an installation of four HP3000 servers, three of which line
your pockets, a little, once a year :-)
Our new CTO is committed to driving out legacy systems as a top priority
though, so another 2-5 years tops, maybe.
But the one server they (and we) have been trying really hard to shut
down has already outlasted two Decommissioning Co-ordinators.
There is powerful juju in the 'Old Boys', as the HP3000s are
affectionately known in the office :-)
