The reduction in HP's sales force would suggest they should help customers
find out information without so much contact with sales reps - like making
ordering and configuration guides easily available! I wish they would put
this stuff on the Web (hp3000 and hp9000 both).

Let me add that we have always had good relations with our HP sales rep and
our support SE, CE, etc. The past couple of years we have had both telesales
and a local sales rep. Our current rep is more knowledgeable about Unix, but
helps gracefully with HP3000 stuff (and gets help from a local sales support
person).
