Here's my contribution to the MPE/iX 5.0 release confusion:

I've received a mail on the net from the HPSL Mail Service - New Products
Digest. This mail is dated Februrary 15. Under the document id 17611 "Is
it time to move to MPE/iX 5.0?". This document states at the very
beginning:

"Beginning February 1995, Hewlett-Packard Company will begin shipping the
MPE/iX 5.0 platform release (sometimes referred to as the "push" release)."

I assumes this is an official statement from HP which is valid - at least
in US. (The document also states "Information in this article applies
specifically to products available in the U.S....")
