Could it be the case that the internal SCSI address is 8 for LDEV 6 and 9 for
LDEV 10 ?

I ran SYSGEN CONFG997 (because there is no 996 group available any longer), and
here the LD 6 and 10 shows
     io> ld 6
 LDEV: 6 DEVNAME: OUTDEV: 0 MODE:
   ID: HP2567B RSIZE: 66 DEVTYPE: LP
 PATH: 0/28/52.8.0                        MPETYPE:      32   MPESUBTYPE:  9
CLASS: LP       LP1

     io> ld 10
 LDEV: 10 DEVNAME: OUTDEV: LP MODE: JA
   ID: HPC1503B RSIZE: 128 DEVTYPE: TAPE
 PATH: 0/28/52.9.0                        MPETYPE:      24   MPESUBTYPE:  7
CLASS: JOBTAPE
But I'm not sure whether this can be used for your 996.

Best regards, Andreas Schmidt, CSC, Germany

Subject:  996/400 Config Question

Help for the forgetful (no jokes scott)

I recently acquired a 996/400, soon to be a 997/400.  While I waite for
HP to do the upgrade I'm trying to remember how to configure these
boxes. Everything has gone well with the exception of ldev 6 and ldev
10 (the streams device).
The multi-I/O card is in slot 11 so the path for these two devices would
be 0/44.n.n.
I've place ldev 6 on path 0/44.2.0 with an id=HP2567B,
pmgr=SCSI_DISC_DM, type=LP.
ldev 10 is on path 0/44.3.0 with an
id=HPC1503B,pmgr=SCSI_TAPE_DB,type=TAPE.
With this info I get a LLIO when the system boots up for both of these
devices. The error message for both is: LLIO device configuration
error: -11  status -- subsys: #150 info #-11.
What do these errors point to? Does it matter which slot the multi-I/O
card is in?
Any help would be appreciated. HP will be on site soon to do the
upgrade and they will be able to correct this problem but I'm interested
in solving this challenge before they arrive.
