Howdy,

<my stuff snipped>

Ken Sletten wrote regarding the patch for DDX EOF problems.

As far as I know, the TIXKX11 patch was first made available
on 4 Nov.; the TIXKX13 patch (for 5.5 express 3) just became
available on Nov. 12 (yesterday). So although I believe both of
these patches are still officially in "beta test" status, Jim should
have been able to order TIXKX11....

Jim, when you said "have not yet been released", is it possible
you meant that the HPRC knew about them but when you heard
they were still beta you considered that equivalent to "have not
yet been released" ?? (I realize that some sites have a firm policy
of not installing any software that HP considers beta on their
production machines)....

Nope, the reply was quite clearly "not yet been released". I called
rather late yesterday and HPRC said they would "check on the
status". Hopefully I will hear out of them pretty soon. I'll post the
results when I gettem.

Yeah, I'd probably take a beta patch. Not really enthusiastic about
it, but my enthusiasim for having records blown into binary heaven
is less.

Ketcha later.
