In the book, "Hackers", about the hacks who lived computing, the MIT
students in the late 1950s went in thru the ceiling tiles to get tools
to work at night after everyone else was gone, which tools they put back
when they were thru. MIT had and has a rule that work study students
cannot work past midnight; when they left, the PDP 6 was free for the
using.
