We just when through this routine with STR and their Y2K
upgrade was relatively easy:

1) They send you some backup software that works with thier product.

2) Then all you do is make a disc floppy backup of your STR fax server and send it to 'em.

3) Then they send you a whole new hard drive based on your backup.

4) Swap drives.

5) Send the old one back.

What's the problem?

Subject: STR (Fax Server) Replacement

I just received notice that our STR fax server hardware is not y2k compliant
and that I must call their non-800 phone number to "discuss my options."
Well, NOT!!!

We create student-history reports on the HP3K and use the STR product to fax
them to a student's new school or college. Can anyone suggest a non-STR
alternative? TIA...Jerry
