Hello HP3000 co-proponents:

During the past few months (or years), I've read emotional pleas and e-mail
from many HP3000 system managers like me. Many of the statements written
amounted to telling HP what to do, like increasing R&D dollars for MPE,
or have HP managers commit to supporting MPE for many more years, etc.

These valid requests were made by customers like us who contribute about 3%
of the company's gross. Mind you, $1.2 Billion is a BIG amount of money.

But I am not sure if HP really listens to HP3000 customers. But,
don't you think that HP will listen to HP3000 customers who happen
to be HP stockholders as well? What I mean is, do the persuasion
inside the boardroom.

These are what I have in mind:
What if everyone who have an interest in the future of HP3000
purchase about 100 shares of HP stock each, and we all use that as a leverage
to influence the board members to put more R&D $$ for MPE? At least
as HP stockholders, we get a chance to attend and speak at stockholder
meetings and air our views about the future of HP3000.

P.S.

If the persuasion does not work, we get an excellent chance of doubling
our money in a few years, if history is a gauge. (Of course, 1 share
of stock entitles one to attend shareholder meetings as well).
