I agree about the NCSA server, but if you're not on MPE/iX 5.5 then you can't
use server-side scripts(?) with the Apache port? (Correct me if I'm wrong)
NCSA is useful as a demonstration tool only; the install is pretty easy, and
it's a quick way to show "proof of concept", but it's a real dog on perform-
ance and lacking any of the bells and whistles of other choices.
Also, if you're on 4.0, you need to talk to Duane @ QSS and use their QWEBS
server.
I would say;
MPE/iX 4.0 or earlier; QWEBS
MPE/iX 5.0; OpenMarket (despite support issues) - though if Apache is fixed
to handle server-side scripts, go with Apache
-or- if you're not familiar with the Posix environment on the 3000
and prefer to stick with MPE-domain stuff, QWEBS is still a good
choice; it's also the best choice if you don't have "C" program-
mers and need to get your legacy/Cobol(etc) apps talking to web
processes.
MPE/iX 5.5 or later; Apache
