I was looking at system startup procedures, and was surprised that our SYSSTART does not have an ACD. This seems like a vulnerability to me. I would think that one would only want the SM to have Read & Write access. EXecute seems to be the tricky part; I would still think that that should be limited, but am less sure how. What id does the system boot under? I am reluctant to tinker with this without learning more first. Wayne,
I assume you've already verified that the 'Close printer manually' flag
in the Reflection "File\Print Setup..." dialogue is not checked?
Otherwise, I don't know of a way to do this, offhand.

Subject: [HP3000-L] Slave Printing from Reflections

We are trying to slave print to a PC with Reflection 5.2 using NS/VT
connection to the 3000. The only way to flush the buffer is to hit the
'CLOSE PRINTER' button. Any ideas how to configure reflection to do
this automatically? We cannot do anything programatically as it is a
3rd party package that writes reports to the printer.
I have searched the archives and there are some references to this very
topic, however I could not find an answer.
Any help would be appreciated.
