No offense, but the statement below isn't necessarily true. I'm
an American expat in Singapore that's from California.  Living in
Singapore and having just gotten back from 3 weeks in Japan gives
me a truly different perspective regarding these posts.

Regarding Off-Topic posts, I've been on and off this list for I don't know
how many years, from I don't know how many jobs.  Trying to limit the number
of OT posts on this list is like arguing with a hog.  You don't get anywhere
and you just make the hog mad.
