(The Sort files are actually named HPSORTS1 and HPSORTS2, I have a VERY
short memory!)
This is what we did to improve disc IO performance after we installed an
AutoRAID 12H:
1. Reconnected our FWD HASS and defined a user volume set on those discs.
2. Moved the groups holding the temporary extracted data files to this UVS.
3. Created a SORT group on this UVS and forced Sort to use it as sort space.
I don't have access to that system now, but Neil recalls we did it with 2
file equations: FILE HPSORTS1=HPSORTS1.SORT.ACCT and
           FILE HPSORTS2=HPSORTS2.SORT.ACCT

Also don't forget the 50% capacity rule on the AutoRAID.

Now if I can figure how to put spool files on a user volume set....
