Ron,
  I'd check the web site logs around the time period in question
and determine the IP address(es) that they might have used and
subsequently block them.  If you're using reverse DNS, then
you can also probably block the entire domain.  This may not
hold them for long, but it will certainly make things a little
more difficult for them!
