As a further note, the 2345A DTCs (aka DTC-48) has a BNC and an AUI LAN
connection. The connection used is determined by a jumper on the main board.
Normally, you would set the jumper for the AUI connector and use the HP
28685B transceiver to convert the AUI connection to a RJ-45 connection. This
transceiver has the little DIP switch for setting the SQE configuration.

This issue should be investigated so that the connection from each DTC to the
Cisco equipment is known. It's quite possible to just use the old BNC
connection if there is a way to connect up to the Cisco router at each
location. Given that one DTC setup is working now, I'd study it and ensure
that it was working in the same way that the whole 20 DTC setup is planned.
