Thank you for your kind response, Alfredo. Guess you're not interested in
starting a marketing division....

Alfredo, I think your last statement says it all:

>...... This is a good NECESSARY start, but it's not
>SUFFICIENT. What we need is to have this kind of coverage in the magazines
>that "top" managers read: Golf Magazine, The Wall Stree Journal, Fortune,
>Forbes, the funnies on the Sunday paper, and so on, ..., you get the
>picture :-)

I wish HP would ADVERTISE in quantity like IBM and/or Digital. Since HP does
more than just computers, there is a whole advertisting campaign that could
include medical equipment, servers, (unix/HP3000) and PCs. How many people
know HP does more than just printers? I realize that the PC business is doing
very well, but I still would like to see more name recognition.

Speaking of name recognition (I know I could be opening up a can of worms),
last year 3COM paid to have the name of Candlestick Park changed to 3COM Park.
A lot of people in the Bay area didn't like that. What a PR coup it would be
for HP to do the same thing, but leave the name Candlestick Park in place, in
exchange for allowing the HP logo etc. to be displayed all over the place!

Best wishes,
Steve
