Not only does this trash my posting process but also appears to disconnect
some Reflection sessions with a 'Telnet session has been disconnected' msg.
Anyone seen this before and would extending the wait of the IPCRECV make a
difference (assuming its a performance thing)

I see these erratic timeouts also, and always have, ever since MPE/XL 1.0
days.
I've tried changing the timeout, calling the Response Center, looking for file
or database locks, all to no avail. So, I've designed the process to be able
to
recover, to start over and pick up where it left off. Since this process is
running
between HP3000s, as multiple background jobs, it works for me.
