[ Please forgive me for my Unix transgression on this MPE list. ;-) ]
OK all you VARs out there -- I'm in need of a quote for a new HP 9000 D370-1
system. The HP-recommended VAR is working on a quote for me, and I just gave
the config details to a lucky cold-calling VAR a few minutes ago.
Let me know how low you can go for the following configuration for NEW
equipment (make sure all educational discounts apply):
A3560A 9000 D370/1-way server
A3499A 64MB RAM
A3643A Internal 4GB FWD SCSI disk (quantity FIVE needed)
A3542A 12GB DDS-3 DAT drive
C1064AX 700/96 console (amber)
A2994A 1300 VA UPS
A4878A HPUX Operating System
Opt. ABA English
B3920EA HPUX media/manuals
Opt. ABA English
Opt. APZ 10.20
B3919EA HPUX User License (2 user bundled)
Opt. AGL 8-user level
Opt. UB1 credit for initial bundled 2-user
Opt. APZ 10.20
B3901BA C/ANSI C Developer's Bundle
Opt. AH0 Tier 1
B6121AA Glance Plus Tier One 1 copy LTU
B3693AA Glance Plus media/manuals
Opt. AAU CD-ROM codeword only
Opt. APZ 10.20
Plus whatever additional cables/connectors required to build a complete
system.
Hardware/software support is desired and should be PSS 4-hour Mon-Fri 8AM-9PM.
VARs who e-mail their quotes to me instead of clogging my fax machine will
earn bonus points. ;-)
We'd like delivery in a February 1998 timeframe, and I'd like to be able to
select the best quote no later than Friday, December 12. Actual ordering
is subject to generating a Board-approved purchase order.
