Mode 2 disallows calls to DBPUT & DBDELETE. In other words you can only
change data with
DBUPDATE. Also mode 2 only allows other mode 2s & mode 6s. As with many
other HP3000 intrinsic calls these modes are included for completeness.
E.G.:

ILLEGAL ACCESS
