We placed a very large file in root on our HP-UX system. When I try to logon it seems to NOT have room for me to get in. This is the message I get below
=====================================================
HP-UX HP9000A B.11.00 U 9000/800 (ta)
login: root
Password:
Last successful login for root: Thu Aug 24 00:52:19 2006 on tty
Last unsuccessful login for root: Tue Aug 15 14:03:17 2006 on pts/th
vxfs: mesg 001: vx_nospace - /dev/root file system full (1 block extent)
Wait for login exit: ...

I am thinking that a re-boot may let me in but ! I am not sure if it will allow me on to try to purge the file.
I am looking for suggestions before we place a call to HP.
Thanks in advance
Joe Dolliver
