Actually, the reason was that some Regional Bell Company, located in the
southern midwestern area of the US, published a Yellow Pages Directory for a
city in a very large state down there, and published my toll-free number for
this company.
I basically had a choice, give it up and get a new one, get a redirect, or
get a new number and a redirect.
So, if one calls (800) 498-4802 (which is the old number), they will still
be able to get through, they will just have to "Press 1" for CSILLC. I had
the chance to have an "877" number which matched my local number... makes
things a lot easier that way.
Needless to say, I didn't pay for the switch, got a better number, and that
regional Bell company in that big state down south paid for the whole thing.
There, now off to the airport with me...
Best Regards,
Joe
