All,
Not an explanation, just an experience.
I recently reloaded our MPE 6.0 machine. I issued the following commands
to STORE and RESTORE:
:STORE @.PUB.SYS, @[log in to unmask]@.PUB.SYS, @[log in to unmask]@[log in to unmask]@.SYS;*TP;DIRECTORY
Then after the INSTALL
:RESTORE *TP;@.PUB.SYS, @[log in to unmask]@.PUB.SYS, @[log in to unmask]@[log in to unmask]@.SYS;DIRECTORY;KEEP
As best as I can tell, all files (MPE and HFS) were restored. I've been
using the POSIX shell with no problems since the reload.
Maybe it succeeded since I used the 'DIRECTORY' option.
