It just so happens that I recently created the following additional step to our
regular data-base capacity monitoring:
!RUN MAIN.PUB.VESOFT,MPEX;PARM=1;INFO=&
! "LISTF ^KSFILES.PHCDBASE.AMISYS(EOF // FLIMIT) > .8 ),2"
For flat files,
!RUN MAIN.PUB.VESOFT,MPEX;PARM=1;INFO=&
! "LISTF @[log in to unmask]@(EOF // FLIMIT) > .8 ),2"
At first, I tried to go the CALC route as Kevin Miller suggested, but Ron of
Vesoft support suggested the above approach.
I am looking for regular production KSAM files, not just every flat file that
jobs create and fail to clean up, a problem unique to our shop (not!). That's
the reason for the indirect file. This file will be expanded as I discover or as
the application people identify the files that are eternal and not just
permanent.

Subject: [HP3000-L] Flat File Capacity Checking
Does anyone know if there's a VESOFT or MPE/ix command for checking the
capacity of a flat file? I'm looking for something similar to the
"dbsetfullness" command in Vesoft.
