IMAGE distorted?  No!  Unless you have something against IMAGE/SQL, maybe? :)
 
Re: earth's magnetic field.  I read recently (Byte?) that if you re-orient
your monitor after it's been turned on for awhile then you might want to
do a manual degauss at that time (because the monitor's relation to the
earth's magnetic field changed).
